Poultry manure has long been recognized as the most desirable of natural fertilizers because of its high nitrogen (N) content and other essential nutrients that used by plants such as Phosphorous (P), Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Sulphur (S), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Chlorine (Cl), Boron (B), Iron (Fe) and Molybdenum (Mo). However, the amounts of these nutrients can vary depending upon many factors including the age and diet of the flock, as well as the moisture content and age of the manure.
Poultry manure application improves soil retention and increases the number and diversity of soil micro-organisms and serve as soil amendment by adding organic matter which is necessary to improve water holding capacity and nutrient retention. The use of manure is an integral part of sustainable agriculture.
The chicken manure which we collected from the chicken houses are kept in deep pits, added with microbes, and consistently turn using backhoe to dry before packaging.
